6. Store Purchases
When you buy from The Herd’s Gear, your order is processed by Shopify and fulfilled by Printful. To complete and ship your order we receive your name, email, shipping address and order details. Payment is handled by Shopify and its payment processors; we never receive or store your full card number. See our Shipping & Returns Policy for order questions.
7. Bull Pit Trivia
Bull Pit Trivia at thebullyoucantbear.com/trivia is free to play and does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, birthday or payment details.
The first time you play, your browser creates a random player ID and a secret token. They are saved in your browser’s local storage. We keep a scrambled fingerprint of the token, never the token itself, so only your browser can post scores as you.
Your game progress, settings, scores, the leaderboard name you choose, your friends list, your picks in Call the Close and Stock Draft, and any problem reports you send. This lets your scores appear on leaderboards and lets you continue on another device with your save code. Game data is stored with our host, Netlify, and a nightly backup is kept for 14 days.
Your leaderboard name, scores, rank and trophies appear on public leaderboards in the game. If you win the Weekly Herd Champion, your leaderboard name may be read on the Unbearably Bullish Podcast. Friends you add can see your scores next to theirs. Don’t use your real full name unless you are comfortable with it being public.
If you turn on reminders, we store the push address your browser gives us so we can send them. Your browser maker’s push service delivers them. Turn reminders off in the game’s settings at any time.
If you log in with Patreon to unlock member modes, Patreon tells us whether you have an active membership. We keep that in a signed cookie and never receive your payment details.
To stop spam and cheating, we count requests using a scrambled fingerprint of your connection for about an hour; we never store your raw IP address for this. Weekly Herd Champion results may be checked for unusual play before a prize is released.
Game pages use Google Analytics 4 under the same cookie choices described in section 2. We also count rounds played per day, without names, to see how the game is doing.
Bull Pit Trivia is meant for players 13 and older, and you must be 18 or older to win a prize. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information through the game, contact us and we will delete it.
Email donald@thebullyoucantbear.com with your leaderboard name and we will delete your game data from our servers, including backups, within 30 days. Never send us your save code. Clearing your browser’s site data removes the copy on your device.
We do not show ads in the game, sell player data, or track you across other sites. Bull Pit Trivia is for education and entertainment only and is not investment advice. Contest terms are in the Official Rules.
8. Data Security
We implement reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
